Just how well do you have to know someone before you start interfering in their life just because you have this fantasy of preventing a suicide? Presumably this varies with the strength of the evidence, ie its OK to take a complete stranger with blood spurting from their wrists to the hospital, but you don't walk up and give a stranger a hug just because they aren't smiling at the moment. It's the middle ground that's confusing. On a somewhat related note, what about lesser forms of self destruction? seriously BillW
