Amen to Steve Swift! It's great to hear that there are people out there who care. Speaking of pain, that is one of the things that I also find that I am constantly dealing with. One can argue that pain is no fun for anyone, but I also argue that exercise falls under that same category (which doesn't make me stop from experiencing either). Like exercise, I have learned to grow from other peoples' pain, and have found that the trivial things that used to bother me, don't anymore. The times that I have been able to help soneone with their pain has, afterwards, left me with good enought feelings that it has been worth the experience (then again, sex can be painful, but it usually doesn't stop people). It's not that pain is to be the objective, rather, it can be used constructively. I should also add that although I have not dealt with anyone who is blatantly suicidal, I do have freinds who have tried to take their lives in the past. Although most of them are now far from that experience, I have had a chance to talk to them about how they were, and I can see that the way they react to the care they receive now is indicative of the needs that they had when they contemplated suicide.
