#N:inmet:8600001:000:703 inmet!porges Jun 24 14:00:00 1983 A true story: My father, who works for a national television news organization (oh, all right, ABC News) just switched jobs inside the company. He got a lot of goodbye gifts from the people at his old position, including an economy-pack size bag of Kool-Aid mix that a correspondent had retrieved from Jonestown. It's sitting in our pantry now. Presumably the stuff itself is safe, since they mixed it up and then added the cyanide, but I'm not going to try it out. (Don't worry, we have intention of ever opening the bag -- it'll go into our "bizarre souvenirs" room.) -- Don Porges ...harpo!inmet!porges ...hplabs!sri-unix!cca!ima!inmet!porges ...yale-comix!ima!inmet!porges
