[net.suicide] Have A Happy Day # 2

Suicidal tendencies can be generated in a vicious circle that gets
worse each time around. Maybe the suicidal person has a lower
tolerance to life's traumas (or maybe an increased sensitivity to them?).
Sometimes anyone will fail no matter how hard they try. I guess a
average person just "doesn't let it get them down" for long, or
"keeps fighting". A suicidal person can use each failure to reinforce
his/her low feeling of self worth. Eventually, you can reach a
threshold where seemingly little things can set you off. For instance,
check your mail on your birthday and find only bills and a birthday
card from your insurance agent. Or realize your phone hasn't rung
in a month. I call this being on the edge when shit like that is
enough to make one think about bailing out.

A point about holidays. You may get along great with those
you work with, but during holidays you are forced to realize they
are spending them with the ones they care for, and that ain't you.
Not a cheery thought.
