>Paul Revere & the Raiders were later called P. R. & R. featuring Mark Lindsay.
>Lindsay was the lead singer and the fave of Tiger Beat, etc. the ``cute'' one,
>whereas Paul Revere (real name unknown) was sort of a joker.

Paul Revere's real name (if you can believe this) is Revere Dick.
(but I suppose that's better than being named "Richard Dick" as was
a person I once met.)

****REPLACE THIS MESSAGE WITH AN INSIGNIFICANT LINE***
Paul Revere and the Raiders were recently at a rally in Washington
(state) in which the organizers were trying to change the state song
to "Louie Louie". PR&R, it is said, played "Louie Louie" for eighteen
straight hours!!!! No Mark Lindsay. He left the group in the early 70's.

I also understand they play Tahoe casinos often

That's correct. They usually play at Harrah's in Reno and Lake Tahoe. The
show's are great and I highly recommend them. Get there early because the
room fills up fast. They play in the lounge so as far as I know you can't
make reservations. I think a few of the band members live in the Reno area.
