AARGH! mincemeat rampant peruses oldnews! (despite some appearances and lots of insinuations, mostly from the chuckf, I do NOT spend my whole day readnewsing, and missed the creation of mod.ber entirely) Said chuck besmirches my alabaster reputation with guilefully stolen personal tidbits gleaned from our illicit personal life; cold, chaz, cold... (Incidentally, I ALWAYS raise the lid, ALWAYS!) I am also emphatically not attempting to gain control of anything, except maybe myself, and that looks like a multi-year project... However, I do miss the halcyon days of rabbit!bimmler and the vicious attacks slashing across my video; I certainly have enough strong opinions on the subject of suicide and self-determination to raise some roockus, as my dear ole pappy would so quaintly put it, in his backwoods drawl... I am also peeved enough at uqui the numb's vile personal attack on my innocent monday morning to make some good submissions to net.letter.bomb... I am coming to the opinion that most of the netpeople are fucking bugeyed looney.... yow! Anyway, here's an opinion for you f.b.l.'s out there, or rather a conceptual flow: Self-determination is the primest of human 'rights': Self-determined actions, in that they affect only one's self or the opinions of others, need have no rational basis, no intrinsic merit, and no sense or explanation. Suicide is by definition a self-determined act Subject then to the qualifications above, there is no reasonable objection that can be raised to anybody who damn well feels like it offing the self for whatever silly-ass, meaningless, stupid reasons that seem appropriate. It doesn't have to make any sense. It's a personal choice. As a personal choice, it's none of yer business, boys & girls. mr.mincemeat {hplabs, menlo70, zehntel, sdcrdcf}!sytek!toms
