Well, since I am now a non-person, I need not have any consideration
for the uqui at all, eh? So, we will (I will) cheerily dissect
his nasty lies and show the truth to all.
on the net he says:
"My personal views that suicide is not a courageous act are simply that.
Mine. Not some famous person or expert. Mine. I take full responsibility
for them. (Hey, mincey, is this clear enough for you?)."
to me he said:
"My perspectives are truths, at least within my frame of reference. "
This is merely semantic quibbling, I am the first to admit.
He then goes on the some truly absurd lengths:
"The letter he sent me was a scathing diatribe that not only attacked me
personally (as well as my beliefs) but was essentially incoherent
(I think English is a third language to our bilingual friend) and had
a large number of misspellings as well."
Well. For now, I will only state once again that I sent a fairly
angry but not very personally intense email after uqui yapped
out his incredibly cruel and short-sighted opinions about
suicidal people. He sent back a really nasty attack, and I
sent back an angry response, full of course with keen and
cutting insights into irrefutable flaws in his non-logic.
Now he is ignoring me; a really excellent way to maintain
warped opinions is to cheerily discard any unpleasantly contradictory
realities.
This, however, is really only what I expect from such a person.
What really galls me is his blatant LIES about my coherence;
oblique I may be, willfully obscure, perhaps, but incoherent
never. If I was a vicious, intolerant cretin like the uqui
I would say that he was simply too stupid to understand my
simple points, or too dishonest to admit their awesome truth,
but I would never say anything like that.
ANYWAY, the "scathing diatribe" in question consisted
mostly of me jeering at him for arguing that my use of
some miserable people I know as examples was incorrect because
they are actually happy, and they are actually happy because
the character of belker on hill street blues is happy.
(I'm not making this up, no, not even I am THAT twisted.)
Also, the only 'misspelling' was 'uqui'. I think he was
trying to be funny...
So. uqui also says this:
" ... I suggested humourously that if he
didn't believe me, he might attempt the act and report back as to whether I
was right. Evidently he can't take a joke, because I have now been attacked
again in public, both here and in mod.ber."
Well. This is what he said, inoffensive it is, adolescently
snarky, yes, funny, no:
" If you don't believe this, drive your car in a garage and
forget to turn it off. If you find out I'm wrong, I would really appreciate
it if you dropped me a line and let me know."
(uqui is also apparently a bit paranoid, as he thinks chuck's
noting his irrationality in mod.ber is my doing...)
Well. I thought his joke was stupid, but the thing I found
personally offensive, and not a joke at all, is this final
paragraph, especially the final sentence.
"Depressed people . . . and other potential suicides need help. Positive
help. Your attitude seems to be to give them a smoking gun and a little
enouragement (sic). That is an extremely heartless and cold attitude, and it
tells me a lot about your own personality. Perhaps you are the person that
needs a little assistance, since you seem to have very little feeling for
what it means to be human and alive..."
I have often found that it is the people who have the most
personal investment in being, or being perceived as being,
"caring" and "sensitive" are them most callous and nasty
when crossed... I wouldn't make such slanderous remarks as
"uqui is a case in point" in a public forum like the net, though.
Let me merely state in closing that I have a pretty good idea
what it means to be human and alive, and what it means to be
a self-righteous microcephalic, and that one of those phrases
describes me, and one describes someone else, who might be
uqui, at least as far as he has revealed himself to me, and
you nice b.f.l.'s can draw your own conclusions...
