Hello,
I'm new to this group. (I found it by accident). I've been
reading the submissions with interest.
I just read the submission to mod.ber from !ccf and I must
say that this individual seems quite heartless. As an
engineering student here at OU I've felt the kind of
pressures that make people want to end it all. I've even
given the idea serious thought myself. In !ccf's entry
he says that suicide is a form of humor. The thought of
someone taking his/her own life is obviously real funny
stuff. !ccf also made reference to a poem submitted by
!petersoa and said that he would have sided with the
teacher. (read the poem if you haven't already)
It would seem that !ccf thinks that children who's
minds dwell only on rocketships and airplanes
are the only ones who are ever going to bring anything
of value into the world. I shudder at the thought of
what this world would be like if it consisted solely
of those children and people like !ccf.

ps- I made copies of the poem !petersoa submitted and
gave them to some friends of mine. I was a HS senior
last year. It really touched me. I am going to go
out and buy the book also.
