<Oh wow, I am posting. I have never done this without a horse> I have a book recommendation for anyone who has ever felt sorry for themselves (i.e. everyone). The book is "How to Make Yourself Miserable" by Dan Greenburg (with the help of someone else who I can't remember). Greenburg is a truly funny author (one of his other books, "How to Be a Jewish Mother" is a riot). The book has the format of typical self-help books. It talks about such wonderful things as the Power of Negative Thinking. It makes you feel good by poking fun at all the things that people do when they feel sorry for themselves. I got the book as a Christmas present from my dad when I was 15 (along with a pair of socks that said "Have a Lousy Day". My father is a fantasic present finder). ---georgia (enlightened pessimism lives!)
