Hi, to the few who read this newsgroup,
Last night a friend and I were talking about suicide.
We both admit to having fantasies of suicide, without being
in the position to actually do it. We both think of places,
times, notes, etc. but when does one take oneself seriously?
I've noticed that I'll start thinking in this direction when
I feel ignored, that is, I'll start off with "How can I get
SOMEONE'S attention?"...."kill myself...."...."boy, thoma,
that is STUPID!!!!"...."oh well, I'll just feel ignored for
a while more..." and so forth.
Reed is a damn lonely place sometimes. It tends to make
all but the most invulnerably positive insecure and cynical.
But the education is worth it (to about 50% of those who
are freshmen...)
