The TELETYPE 5620 Dot-mapped Display is an intelligent terminal with a
10.24" by 8" screen, 100 dot/inch resolution, a powerful microprocessor
and a pointing device called a mouse.

The support for the 5620 will be available as add-on packages to UNIX
System V (the official Western Electric supported release of UNIX) and
beyond. The 5620 does require a new driver to be installed in your
UNIX system (called "xt") to use the virtual terminal facility. These
driver will be available for at least the VAX family. Since support for
the 5620 will be a standard package for UNIX, you can extrapolate the
obvious for other processors on which WECo has announced standard UNIX
will be available.

Of course, much more than just virtual terminal support will be available.
There will be a software development system for terminal applications, including
a C cross-compiler and a beautiful mouse-based debugger which runs in one window
while the application you're debugging runs in another. And some text applications
will also be available.
