If you can send a character sequence to your terminal and have your terminal send back what kind of terminal it is, I would like to know: o The terminal model o What the code sequence sent is o What it sends back This is referred to as an `answerback' or `identify' code in your terminal user manuals. Please mail your info to me, using termcap(5) conventions (ie, ^A = control-A, \E = escape (ascii 033), \r = return, \nnn = ascii 0nnn). EXAMPLE for the Hewlett-Packard 2621a, it is \E*s1^, and sends back '2621A' Thank you! Gordon Moffett {intelca,amd70}!proper!gam
