This article is a response to requests for termcap entries for the TVI 914/924 terminals. I've written this one for the 914 and it should provide a good starting point for the 924. Note that the last line of the entry is for a visible bell. This line should be removed if you wish to use the audible beeper on the 914. However, the visible bell is fairly psychedelic if vi is blowing a continuous string of ^G's at you. Also note that all the padding variables occur in the first two lines if the padding needs to be tweaked at your installation. We run our 914 at 9600 baud and no padding is needed anywhere. One more caveat: the 914 comes with battery-driven RAM for the non-volatile memory. To make sure that the firmware is correctly in this RAM, reset the RAM to the factory specs as described in the manual. Otherwise, you will probably have garbage for the firmware which the terminal uses (i.e. the stuff in the battery RAM).
