[net.info-terms] Wyse 50 termcap entries

larus@ucbvax.ARPA (James Larus) (10/17/84)

Below is the collection of termcap entries for the Wyse 50 that I received
from various people. I have not tried any of them (and will not, as I
bought a Wyse 75 instead), but I am passing them on as a public service.

/Jim

Subject: News request for Wyse 50 Entry

I have been using the following entry with reasonably good success. It seems
to work well for sysline on a Wyse-50 in W50 mode. I have not had a chance to
try it out on EMACS.

Hope it helps.

This is what we have, don't know how good it is.

Subject: wyse 50 termcap

Hi,
I noticed from the network news that both of you needed a
termcap for the wyse 50 terminals. One of the users on this campus
sent me this termcap entry. He seems to like the terminals very much.
I had a chance to play with one for a few hours and seems to be a
good terminal. The user did mention that out of the 6 terminals he
purchased, one had too much key bounce which caused the
repeating of characters. Wyse fixed the problem on request. I don't
know much of their durability, but seem well constructed.
This termcap is used on our VAX 750 running 4.2BSD. I don't think the
user is running sysline, though the entries that refer to the status line
(ds, es, fs, hs, and ts) seem to be there.

                                                 Joe DeBattista
