I have been using a Teletype DMD 5620 for about 2 months on a SysVr2 Vax and give
it good marks for basic layers when used with korn shell, "pic" picture editor
and "proof" for proofreading troff output. I'm not crazy about the editor "jim"
but find it tolerable for small editing tasks; maybe I am just stuck with a vi
frame of reference, but I miss global commands and other features.
The problem that leads me to post this article is that I get the following message
in the jim window:
Normal exception #0x5 at 0x7245E0
and the window hangs around, useless for more work. I can delete the window and
create a new one and download jim again. I have no insight into what is wrong
and would appreciate insight from any other DMD users.
