I recall some controversy about how to use the 132-column mode of the TVI 955 terminal, and since I have recently built a termcap entry for both 80 and 132 column modes, I thought I'd pass my results along. The tabsetting file for wide mode is similar to /usr/lib/tabset/stdcrt; it just sets more tabstops! Our termcap has many TVI 950 entries, depending upon inversion desired, and how much memory is installed. The following could probably be extended to handle additional memory in the 955 in a similar fashion. # # TVI955 at USL: mostly the same as TVI 950, but assume non-embedded attributes. # Also allow for 132-col CM string. Since the SEND key is programmed differently # from the 950, we include our own IS definition, and add LINE-based attributes. # Further, VS and VE are disabled, since local edit mode breaks the TAB key! vi|tvi955|955|televideo955:\ :is=\EDF\EC\Ed\EG0\Eg\Er\EO\E\047\E(\E%\Ew\EX\Ee ^O\ \E0P\E6\200\E0p\E4\200\Ex0\200\200\Ex1\200\200\Ex2\200\200\ \Ex3\200\200\Ex4\r\200\Ef\r\El\E[=2l:\ :cm=\E[%i%d;%dH:sg#0:ug#0:vs@:ve@:tc=tvi950: vj|tvi955w|955w|televideo955-wide:\ :.if=/usr/lib/tabset/wstdcrt:\ :is=\EDF\EC\Ed\EG0\Eg\Er\EO\E\047\E(\E%\Ew\EX\Ee ^O\ \E0P\E6\200\E0p\E4\200\Ex0\200\200\Ex1\200\200\Ex2\200\200\ \Ex3\200\200\Ex4\r\200\Ef\r\El\E[=2l:\ :co#132:cm=\E[%i%d;%dH:sg#0:ug#0:vs@:ve@:tc=tvi950: # -- -- James Dugal USENET: ...{ut-sally, akgua}!usl!jpd Associate Director CSNet: DugalJP%usl.csnet@csnet-relay.arpa USL Computing Center US Mail: PO Box 42770 Lafayette, LA 70504
