OUT OF CURIOUSITY ONLY!!!! Are there any readers of this newsgroup who are actually affiliated with a cave rescue organization of any sort? If you are, I request that you post who you are, and whom you are affiliated with. While I do not envision the net, with its delays and uncertainties of delivery, as a reporting mechanism, I would be interested in postings of a cautionary nature regarding equipment, rigging, and lighting failures as a service to the few of us who read this group. I would not consider posting of accidents attributable to gross ignorance of caving proceedures on a regular basis, but failures of equipment, commonly used rigging techniques, etc, could be useful to the entire caving community, especially since the lag in the NSS news has been, at some times, extremely long.
