[net.eunice] uucico problem

diamant@cwruecmp.UUCP (John Diamant) (10/26/84)

Help! I am having trouble getting a VAX 11/780 running 4.1BSD and a
VAX 11/782 running VMS with EUNICE 3.2 to talk to each other using uucp.
It appears to be a protocol problem (a bug in the EUNICE version?),
because the 780 talks to several other real unix machines without any
trouble. Could this be a configuration problem? If so, what am I doing
wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Here is a log of uucico -x9:

The place where the truncated file name appears is suspicious, but I
tried sending a file with a shorter name in case a buffer was
overflowing or something. The error was the same.

By the way, what is involved in setting the system name in Eunice?
Is this hardcoded, or do I just have to change a logical?
