I have a few small problems with the uucp connection provided
by Eunice.
1) Sometimes, uucp will send mail back to someone who has
tried to send mail to a remote site. It complains that is
can't access D.site and C.site and X.site files in /usr/spool/uucp.
Any idea where they are going? Who is deleting them? uuclean?
I believe they are being created, though I wouldn't bet my house on
it.
2) I have requested news from our neighboring site. They put us
on the list. But we receive no news! They have no trouble with
any of the real UNIX sites, what's wrong with us? The mail DOES
come across, so the connection works, although it does seem to die
quite often. I figure something on my side must be eating the news.
What is it? Anybody know?
We seem to be able to post news, although not all the time. Why
can't we receive? Does ANYBODY have a solid connection with Eunice
uucp?
