Note one flaw in the "uutimestamp" program I sent: it has the name of your system (in my case "utzoo") wired in. It is hard to get around this in a really portable way.

Our UUCP is probably as hacked over as any, but we can do: uuname -l [ That's "ELL", as in "LEAPFROG" ] to get the name of the local system, and *I* didn't add it. - Alan S. Watt
