I'm disappointed that nobody has posted a review of the new Supertramp album, "Brother Where You Bound". With all the Supertramp fans around, (I know many have lost interest since the "Crime Of The Century" days, but a lot of us are still hanging on.) I'm sure I'm not the only one who's wondering how much the loss of their most talented member, Roger Hodgson, has affected the rest of the group. (The only effect it seems to have had on Roger is that he now uses a synthesiser where he would have used a sax in Supertramp.) I've heard the hit single, "Cannonball", which sounds interesting and different enough from their previous work to make me curious, but I'd like to hear more about it before I hand over my $7, since I found most of Davies' songs on their last album boring. In fact, I'd like to see some reviews on other new releases as well. I'm more interested in hearing the opinions of other ordinary listeners like myself than those of critics. I tend to find netters' reviews much more informative anyway. (example: Dire Straits. I've seen about half a dozen reviews of their new album, and the only ones that told me anything were the ones I read here.) -- Jeff Richardson, DCIEM, Toronto (416) 635-2073 {linus,ihnp4,uw-beaver,floyd}!utcsri!dciem!jeff {allegra,ihnp4,linus,decvax}!utzoo!dciem!jeff
