Sorry to post this here, but this was the only place appropriatte.
Thanks to all of you who have sent me your versions of dired. Or
should I say, Charles Hill's version. I think I have about 8 copies
of that one now. If you are getting ready to send me a copy of dired,
please don't! Some nights our uucp connect at tektronix has been logged
on dumping dired's for over 2 hours.
For those of you who ask for a copy of dired, I have been in contact with
Jay Lepreau (one of the first people to really hack at dired) who is
working on finishing his version of dired, now called 'ded'. As far as
I know he intends on posting it when he makes some finishing touches.
If you really can't wait until this is done, then send me another
message and I'll send you a copy of my version of 'ded'. It too, needs
to be worked on though, before any kind of real distribution, if any.
