I am willing to forgive 4.2 dependence on signals, etc., as the author of dpy stated that he doesn't have access to anything other than 4.2. But *this*, of all things, he should have known about: NOT ALL OF US HAVE FLEXNAMES, D**N IT! Having grown tired of waiting for curses, I tried looking at dpy, and ran my long-identifier locator over it to finf internal routines with long names. What I got out included "dpyclearline" and "dpyclearwindow". 9 characters before they can be discriminated from each other. Our compiler only accepts 8; the assembler only sees 7 of those. So much for that. I may look at writing a *portable* version, with new names, and posting it, but I'd like some feedback from the net (and maybe from the author) first. If I don't get any, maybe I'll just write my own. V7, plus System III that I work with. Any takers?
