I didn't even try it; .forward is a sendmail feature (but remember the deliver-
mail manual: 

	BUGS
		It isn't sendmail(1) (this may be a feature).

On a more serious note, I'm currently porting pwrite to System III, using fifos
(and if you think that's easy, you're nuts! -- anyone got a description of what
the socket routines in 4.2 do?  I don't know which functions make two sockets
talk to each other).

There is a very good tutorial paper available for the asking (and small cost)
from UC Berkeley on the subject of 4.2 sockets (I can't remember the title but
its something obvious like 'sokets under 4.2') in fact the reason I'm posting
this is to alert people to the fact that there is a whole wealth of cheap
(under $5/per) papers from Berkeley on 4.2BSD features, utilities, programs,
etc. Try contacting
