Does anyone know of a version of Kermit for either the Zenith 150 micro or the Honeywell 6000 mainframe? Please mail replies directly to me. Walt (Lazear @ MITRE)

I really don't know if this is appropriate, but does anyone know how to transmit executable files (to a PC) using vax-kermit and PC-minitel (or maybe xtalk). I tried the kermit -s (file) -i option, but something is amiss. I would greatly appreciate any help. jsl@ciprnet.princeton

I have just gotten a flame from someone at my school for posting my request for help on minitel to kermit downloading of binary files as 'world' instead of 'local'....sorry, but now that I am aware of this egregious error.... please, only constructive help. jsl *** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE ***

You need to have Kermit for the PC as well as on the VAX. It's a file transfer protocol, so both computers must agree beforehand what each escape sequenc will mean. Tom Reingold
