[net.sources] How do you compile MicroEMACS

lawrence@duncan.UUCP (04/22/86)

Which version are you refering to. MicroEMACS 3.5 doesn't have
a "sysdef.h" and MicroEMACS 3.6 isn't posted to the net yet. it sounds
like you have Dave Conroy's (the original author of MicroEMACS) version
that he posted to the net in MOD.sources. His versions are labeled
internal as version 30 in the comments, and the sources I am working
with are 3.5 and 3.6. 3.6 compiles under both Lattice and AZTEC with
no problems and I suspect it will work under Microsoft C with little
problem. Email if you are still having problems, or call me.

compiling microEMACS on the IBM PC....

Well, I haven't actually compiled it yet, but... The distribution I
received for version 3.5 had a shar file containing specific (fixes,
enhancements, etc.) for an MSDOS IBM-PC alike type machine. I don't
know if this file will still work at version 3.6, but it might help.
I will not post this, unless requests are great in number (in which
case I will contact the original poster), as I dislike wrongfull
flamage for cluttering up the net with previously posted things. If
you don't have a copy of this and would like one, email me a request
and I'll be happy to send you a copy.

Fixes? I don't understand what it is that you have. If you
think it will be useful, send it to me and I will try it and include it
with 3.7 (3.6 is going out now......)
