I seem to remember that ages ago (i.e. 1977-78) there was a program that allowed you to edit and/or add to /usr/lib/book (the opening book for the chess program). Did this really exist or is it just a wishful figment of my imagination? If it did exist, does it still? Can I get a copy from somewhere? Also, has chess-by-mail been tried on the net?
