[net.tv] 3-d movies on tv

There were 3 or 4 of these movies on Toronto channel 79 awhile ago. They don't
work. There is no difference between these and standard movies. You can
watch the movie with or without the 3-d glasses..makes no difference.

One thing I noticed in the 3D movie shown recently in Chicago (Revenge
of the Creature) was that different sections of the movie seemed to have
been processed different ways. Sometimes the 3D effect was quite good, but
sometimes things would be unstable enough to interfer with the effect: the
separation of the images would jump arbitrarily (as if the registration of
the images somehow got fouled up in the processing), or the intensity of the
red and green images would sometimes be quite strong but at other times be
pale.

I think tha'didn't crank up the color intensity on their sets all the way, or forgot to
take the auto-aft out of the circuit.

I hope that some *new* 3D movies will be made using TV cameras going to
video tape rather than using regular film cameras. That way the images
could be put to a single tape at one and the quality of the images could
be better controlled.

That should be "single tape at once" in the last sentence.
