I just want to go on record as saying that I love Monty Python, yet *** HATED *** Falwty Towers. The American versions could only be an improvment.

I am also a big Monty Python fan, but I have also enjoyed some of the Falwty Towers episodes. While I haven't seen the American version, I don't think it is likely that it is better than the origional.

I cast my vote, Fawlty Towers is better than any American copy. I also love the program, I do not see how anyone could dislike it with such malice.
