Hey! As you well know, chess is an ancient sport. If you are interested in ancient things and ancient times, also known as anachronisms, there is a group that might interest you -- the Society for Creative Anachronism. (SCA). The SCA is a group of people who are never on time, often winding up in the wrong century... As a non-profit, educational and recreational organization, we learn and teach about the past through re-creating it. Activities include demonstrations, revels, feasts, guilds and tournaments. These encompass costuming, fighting, cooking, brewing, heraldry, gaming, dancing, art, blacksmithing, armor-making, weaving... the list goes on. If you're looking for a neat bunch of people, you'll likely find them in your local SCA. For more info, or if you're already in the Society, and would like to correspond, get in touch with me over the net or by far speaker. (net is far faster than U.S. mail, so don't bother) Karl of Godelbach Shire of Stonehaven (Fort Collins, CSU, and environs) Principality of the Outlands (NM, CO, WY) Kingdom of Atenvelt (NM, CO, WY, AZ, UT, NV?
