[net.chess] chess interzonals

Does anyone know what is happening in the chess interzonals.
Last time I checked Kasparov, Portisch, Adorjan, etc where fighting it out.
Anyone know the results?

Kasparov and Korchnoi are slated to duke it out in Pasadena, CA, exile
home of Bobby Fischer. Fischer might come out of his hole to watch,
oh boy. This is the first time that there's been a candidate's match
in the US in a dog's age.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kasparov defects, this is his big chance.
He's a student of English and a seemingly levelheaded person, but not a
drone like Karpov.

Has anyone seen Fischer's account of his being "kidnapped" by the
Pasadena police force? He says they arrested him for questioning for
some crime he didn't commit and they treated him harshly. You can get
the pamphlet he wrote by sending him a buck. No chess news in it...
