I took part in the Nielson survey about two years ago. I got a random (I think) call, asking if I would be interested in participating. When I agreed, they sent me a diary for both of my tv sets. For one week, my family kept track of who (2 adults, 2 children) watched what shows. For doing it they sent me a token of their appreciation (a brand new $1 bill).
