Good question. In most tv markets, the main networks carry Presidential speeches as a news event. Most of the time it seems to be aimed at keeping up the "high standards" of television news. Long after the Prez has gone, the media news types are still there giving their impressions of why what was said was said. I don't think they are going after advertising bucks as much as the loyalty of the viewers. Most people tend to "trust" one network more than the other two. And how about cable in all this? Does anyone know if CNN or other cable news services provide live speech + commentary?? Ralph Keyser ABI - Indy inuxc!ralph
