Marc Schare mentioned the Marvel comics super-heroes on TV. The
show was called "The Merry Marvel Marching Society", and I remember
it being broadcast on WOR-TV (channel 9) in NYC in the mid-60's.
Here are the theme songs, as I remember them ("blah" has been used
to indicate a faltering memory):

Captain America
---------------
When Captain America throws his mighty shield,
All those who oppose the force of good must yield!
blah blah blah, blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah,
And the Red and the White and the Blue come through,
When Captain America throws his mighty shield!

Hulk
----
Doc Bruce Banner, belted by gamma rays,
turns into the hulk (dainty and glamorous).
Wrecking the town with the power of a bull,
(he's so wonderful), who is as lovable
as ever-lovin' Hulk! (HULK, HULK)

Iron Man
--------
Tony Stark, blah blah blah blah,
He's the coolest cat, with a heart of steel!
As Iron Man, with jets of flame,
He fights and fights with repulsor rays!
A [blah] in armor, Iron Man,
A [blah] in armor, I-ron Man!

Thor
----
?

Submariner
----------
blah...
blah...
The noble Submariner, prince of the sea,
blah...
For favor of Atlantis he's the Prince of the Sea.

I guess my brain got a bit worn out by Thursday (Thor's day) or Friday.
Any corrections, additions, etc. would be most welcome.
