[net.tv] 60s Educational Shows

Yes Andy, I too have fond memories of educational programs from the Gemini
space program days. I believe the opening theme to "What's New?" was:

	Up, down, and all around.
	In, Out, and round about.
	Here, there and everywhere.
	What's New!?

Moving towards the end of the Gemini program and into the Apollo era, does
anyone remember Walter Cronkite's series "The 21st Century"? During the
early 60s, Uncle Walter had a weekly history program called "The 20th Century".
When they ran out of things to say about the present century, CBS came up
with "The 21st Century". Every week Uncle Walter told us all about the
wonderful things that were going to take place if were could hang on until
the year 2000. Would you believe computers in people's houses? Or even
computers that could talk!? It would be great to see some of those shows
now to see how dated the predictions look already.
