No, No, NO! There ain't no such animal as a BAR Sinister. It's a BEND Sinister. And it goes from upper left to lower right AS YOU WEAR THE ESCUTCHEON (That is from your left shoulder to your right hip). It looks like upper right to lower left if you're facing the design. Lines that go vertically on a heraldic device are BARs, lines that go diagonally are BENDs. Look it up in your Fox-Davies! Ariel Shattan
