I decided to be a good net citizen and send my responses re: Avengers by mail to the questioner but I see that lots of people have been submitting their guesses to the net for all to see. What really maddens me is that so many of these guys are so horrendously WRONG! Someone said that Purdy was played by Joanna Lumsden. Correct answer: Joanna Lumley. Someone said the character in the New Avengers was called Nick. Correct answer: Mike Gambit. Now I don't have the best memory in the world either, but if you're going to get things THAT wrong, don't post it to the net for all to see. It's the job of the person who submitted the question to post a summary of the responses. Now it's my turn to do the brain teasing: In the last season of the original series Steed had a boss.
