Let`s hear it for "CHEERS", winner of the Best Comedy
Emmy Award. And more praise for Shelly Long, the
girl who started off here in Chicago and has really
made the big time, on her Best Actress Award.
I remember the old Sunday evening show in Chicago
that she started out in back in the early 70s, "Sorting
It Out", a sort of PM Magazine/Real People type show.
Can you Chicago trivia buffs name her male co-star??
Anyway, I certainly hope that the big ratings rise and
the audience increase that HILL STREET BLUES got when
it pulled its Emmys last year will happen for CHEERS.
I can`t wait for the new episodes to begin, so I can
"go where everybody knows your name".
