[net.tv] TV lines as cliches

oz@rlgvax.UUCP (THE GREAT AND POWERFUL OZ) (09/22/83)

I was thinking about all the lines that we have heard on TV over the years
and the way that some of them are immediately recognizable as to where they
came from. I present you with some of these, not so much as a quiz, but
for giggles. See if you can remember the show the came from (NOTE: I do
have some instances of more then one quote per show)

"You are entering a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind"

"Lucy, you can't be in de show!"

"Say Goodnite, Dick."

"G-d will get you for that, Walter."

"One of these days, Norton"

"Stiffle, yourself."

"Correctamundo."

"Sorry about that, Chief"

"Pay attention to me, son"

"BABALOO!"

"Dyno-mite!"

"To the moon, Alice"

"Golly gee wilikers, Batman, how did you escape?"

"Yabadabadoo"

"Mom always liked you best"

"How ___________ was it?"

Anyone out there want to continue this?

"He's dead, Jim."

"Yuv GUT ta sloo daun, Kiptin! Me pooor injins!"

"Would you believe...a 87-year old grandmother with a mean left-hook?"

"Here's another fine mess you've gotten us into!"

{"Say goodnight, Dick." "Goodnight, Dick."} was lifted verbatim from
Burns & Allen's closing line {"Say goodnight, Gracie." "Goodnight, Gracie."}.
The names were changed to protect the innocent.
