[net.tv] David Letterman...FEH!<FLAME>

<<<<FLAME ON>>>>

Right then! I have sat here patiently, enduring countless
lines of text dedicated to the praise of that talentless toad,
David Letterman, in silence; BUT NO MORE!! I can no longer stay quiet.
The "last straw" occured recently when someone (unsigned) posted
an article to the net., dubbing Letterman as "the King of Sarcasm".

<<<<<<<<<*********NOVA!!!!********>>>>>>>>>

That title belongs to (and has always belonged to) a REAL
comedian by the name of Don Rickles!!

A sarcasm contest between the two of them (not to mention a TALENT
contest) would leave Letterman limp and bleeding in, say, oh, 0.5
seconds!

<<<FLAME OFF>>>

Is there no one out there in net.-land (aside from me) that does NOT
find D.L. funny? Come on, there must be SOME others...

All right, you may all now be sauseges, and do your wurst. I've
already rented the SCUBA gear, and have had my terminal water-sealed.

Somewhere just off-shore (and about 5 fathoms down)

Steve-I don't like David Letterman-Newman

P.S. while it may be unnesasary to mention this, I vote a resounding
*NO* for net.Letterman (or whatever)

I think David Letterman is perfect for a TV entertainer!

He has no talent, no brains, no sense of irony, no guts,
and no courage.

In short, he's just the sort of individual that the general
public (or the generalized net reader) should identify with.

Down with Letterman! Up with Rickles!

And remember: The pun is the lowest form of humor. That's why
it's the most often appreciated.

I've never seen (or heard David Letterman) so I don't know,
but I don't think Don Rickles is funny, just coarse.

Yes, I am one of the (?few) people who do not find David Letterman funny.
He insults and humiliates people and acts like child, but then, some people
like that.

Actually this is more a comment on the line that the pun is the lowest form
of humor. I once heard someone sway the "those who don't like puns, are
those who don't have the brains to understand puns." Pompus, but true.
