Well, for all those in the Portland area who don't already know it, Channel 49 (UHF) is on the air. They are just about the only channel worth watching on weekend days. Saturday is Sci-Fi (and I use the term advisedly, so no flames from the "it's SF!" bunch) day, with Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, Lost In Space, and other oldies. AND they have the Twilight Zone on at 11:00 pm on Saturday night. Sunday is old westerns, with Wild, Wild West, Bonanza, The Big Valley, Maverick (with James Garner as a young man! Hoo Hah!), and Gunsmoke. And, they have the Avengers on 8:00 Sunday night. It sure beats the Wide World of Sports! You can get a UHF antennna at Freddie's for 49 cents. They also have a pretty good movie selection. I don't watch much tv during the week, though, so I can't tell you their weekday schedule, except that it's the same Mon-Fri. I understand that it's mostly old shows. So, if you haven't looked at this station yet, it may pay to.
