Well, "The Day After" wasn't bad, but it didn't measure up to all the hype,
as far as I was concerned. And I was appalled that in the closing summary
(stark white letters on a black background), there was an obvious grammatical
error - "its" spelled "it's", right in the first few words. If ABC wants
to be believable and respected, they should learn how to write correct
English.

ABC's bugs in punctuation are not limited to the misuse of "it's" after \After/. Watch \ABC World News Tonight/ sometime and look at the date. Dave Decot decvax!cwruecmp!decot (Decot.Case@rand-relay)

************************************************************************** >...I thought they said that: > "The effects of a nuclear war are probably less dev- > astating than those shown in this presentation." I don't recall the exact words either but I AM certain that the sense was the exact opposite of what you quoted--that the effects shown were probably a good deal milder than what would actually happen. Incidentally, I am sure that they were right in that regard. Regards, Neal Weidenhofer Denelcor, Inc. <hao|csu-cs|brl-bmd>!denelcor!neal
