(Adopted or Foster or what). Rick and Leslie have no children by marriage. Leslie was pregnant with Rick's child a few years ago but had a miscarriage, then found she couldn't have any more. Laura is Leslie's child by birth, but since at the time Leslie couldn't take care of her (I wasn't watching back then so I don't know why) she was adopted by the Vinings. Amy is Laura's adopted sister who came to live with Leslie and Rick in '79. Mike was adopted by the Webbers in 1980 or so after his grandmother was killed. I think his coming was in some was connected to the Frank Smith stuff on the waterfront, but I can't be certain. Blackie was adopted by the Webbers last year.
