Any long time All My Children watchers remember who Devon McFadden's first love was? I remember she had a crush on a college guy before meeting Wally. Was it Mary Kennicott's (sp?) brother? What was his name? Did she ever have a crush on Mark? (Before Ellen). Actually, I hate her character but I want to know anyway. Also, I remember Donna finding out that her pimp had had her sterilized during an abortion or some operation. Then, while married to Chuck, she wants to adopt a child so badly she turns to illegal means. This was the basis of their divorce. Now, she recently gets PREGNANT by Chuck and has a son! WHAT HAPPENED?? I thought she was sterile. Maybe the writers think people forgett. Oh well, AMC really IS weird! B. Walsh

Devon had a crush on Mark Kennicut. When he didn't reciprocate, she got Wally to sleep with her. She became pregnant and married him, even though they really didn't think that much of each other (especially she of he). Donna had her tubes tied. That operation is often reversible. The reversal was done, but the doctors thought that she still would not be able to conceive. Obviously they were wrong.

[From my wife] Don't know about Devon having the hots for Mark Dalton, but Brooke did. Devon's first love was Kennicott (first name forgotten). Don't remember Donna being sterilized. Divorce was on the basis of jealousy over Tara and her son Charlie (Chuck's ex and adopted son). [I am a snob. I don't watch soaps. In fact, I hate them! I can't believe soap writers could even imagine someone out there in viewerland not catching any error they might make, after 20 years of being deluged by letters every time they slip up. It's more likely the writers themselves forgot, due to turnover or whatever. Does anyone out there know if soaps keep histories and back references, so they can keep their own plots straight? Something like back issues of the plot bible used on prime-time soaps? And I don't even watch soaps, although GH has sounded intriguing.

Stop pounding on AMC's writers. They knew what they were doing with Donna's pregnancy. The doctors attempted a reversal, but thought they probably were unsuccessful. Note: probably, not certainly. Obviously, they were successful.
