[net.tv] What will fill the gap?

Instead of mourning over the loss of "Overnight", which I doubt
will ever be back, I think we should look at a more pressing issue--
What will take its place in the time slot? In this week's TV GUIDE
in New York, we can look forward to an hour and a half of Mary Tyler
Moore and an hour of Bob Newhart. Of course these shows are my faavorite
of all time, but I'm sure it won't be permanent. Anyone know what
will be on?

WTHR-TV/Indianapolis, and WTWO-TV/Terre Haute, the two NBC stations I get
in sunny Bloomington, both have -- you guessed it -- NEWS. WTHR has CNN,
and WTWO has something else -- maybe a replay of their 11:00 news (I didn't
leave it on long enough to find out; I was too disgusted). I also don't know
how long WTHR carries CNN, but before Dec. 2 they replayed their 11:00 news
after Overnight, then went off the air. Maybe the same game plan with an hour
of CNN.

...and so it goes. -- Allan Pratt
