Regarding the retirement of Bob Bell as Bozo the Clown, I learned something very interesting this morning on the radio. You old Chicago T.V. fans may remember an afternoon show with an old guy with glasses that was in an old theatre who showed cartoons and very often the STOOGES. The character`s name was ANDY STARR. Talk about old memories. Anyway, it turns out that Bob Bell played both Bozo, from Noon till 1 p.m., LIVE mind you, and then changed costume, make-up, etc. and became the old guy, Andy Starr! Again, LIVE! Talk about versitile! I never would have suspected it in a million years. Chicago has lost an incredible talent. Nobody will be able to replace the honest-to-goodness Bozo the Clown.
