+ Cliff/Nina decide to go across the state line and get married tonight. So they leave Bobby with Linda and head out. When they get there, they go to a Justice of the Peace (Phineas T. Sawyer), but he says that he won't marry them as he is closed. Nina makes with "crocodile tears" and Sawyer relents. He later pronounce them man/wife. Chris calls Linda. The trial is tomorrow (that's why Nina/Cliff were in such a hurry) and he threatens her if she testifies against him. He then persuades a guard to call Brooke. He gives her some of his poetry to read and then talks her into taking a "love poem" to Linda. Brooke takes it to Linda and then leaves. Linda opens it and Chris tells her that nothing will keep him from coming after her if she testifies against him (Someone please tell me how Brooke can be so ignorant sometimes??). Linda takes Bobby over to Cortlandt manor and leaves him with Sloan/Myra, who were planning to go out to dinner at the Chateau. She takes off. Jesse/Angie make up. Then, Karen shows up at the house. Her uncle is the program manager at WRCW radio and he wants to hear Jesse work. He may have a position for him as a DJ. Nancy/Bill/Carl say their goodbyes (sniff, sniff) and then leave for Chicago. Angie asks Jenny to keep an eye on Karen. Jenny agrees. Karen's uncle, Gordon Hemmings, comes to the Steam Pit and talks to Jesse. He tells him they are looking for someone new at the radio station and that he will come by later to hear Jesse. After he leaves, Karen hugs/kisses Jesse, which Jenny happens to see. Later, Jenny fires Karen. Mona talks to Brooke about her suspicions about Adam. Brooke thinks there may have been some collusion to get her story on Adam killed. Meanwhile, Adam is furious with Erica for trying to get into the West Wing. She manages to calm him down with her reasonable arguments and charm "I am the lady of this house, why can't I go in that part of the house?" Erica/Adam make love. Afterwards, as Adam is sleeping, Erica sneaks out and goes to her mother's. Mona tells Erica to leave Adam, but Adam shows up at the Tyler's with a pearl/diamond necklace with a locket. He also tells Erica that he will show her the WW tomorrow and tells Mona she can come along if she wishes. She declines, but Erica goes back with him. As Erica is standing in her bedroom looking at the necklace, suddenly, the secret passage way opens... --> Allen <-- ihnp4!ihuxb!alle
