All My Children 5/1
It is the night of Jesse's debut as a DJ on WRCW. They are going to
broadcast live from the Steam Pit. Jesse is very nervous and he is
losing his voice, until the announcer tells him that it is just nerves
and that he will be fine. It all goes very well.
Tom tells Zach that he resents him intruding into his personal affairs
and that he should get out. Later, Tom asks Donna about Zach and then
goes to see him. He tells him that he will pay him for any dirt he can
dig up on Brooke - the dirtier it is, the more he will pay him.
Edna and Daisy go out to the GoalPost. Edna is feeling depressed over
the situation with Tad and Dottie. They drink a toast to Bonkers!
Cliff is feeling very depressed. He tells Linda to go to the Steam Pit.
She goes and meets Duke there. Nina returns home from the hospital where
she has learned that Joe voted against Cliff. She is furious, but Cliff
tells her to calm down as Joe and Ruth are on their way over. The door
bell rings and it is Brooke there to discuss getting Chris' story
published. Nina becomes very angry and throws her out ("Our friends are
stabbing us in the back!") Joe and Ruth arrive. Joe offers Cliff a job
as a lab technician. Nina tells him off, but Cliff takes the job.
Hilary and Tad are kissing, then she pushes him away. He tries to kiss
her again and she slaps him, hard. She is mad that he is coming on to
her. Tad leaves and picks up Dottie and they go to the Steam Pit. Bob
sees Tad there. He is furious with Tad for the trick he played on him.
Tad tells him "Hilary is very special to me." Dottie overhears this
and leaves. She goes to see Hilary. Meanwhile, Hilary is in bed
thinking of the kiss.
