The fact that the event is "notable" implies that such events do not occur terribly frequently. It could happen either through loading the wrong tape on the player or through improper programming of the playback sequencing equipment. By the way, virtually all movies broadcast over commercial networks and cable networks are already on tape (for the commercial networks, usually 1 inch type C these days, for cable usually C, but sometimes 3/4 inch U-MATIC). --Lauren--

Reel switching is something that KABC in Los Angeles is famous for along other atrocities such as showing "Lawrence of Arabia" in a 90 minute time slot. This station seems to exclussively appeal to the under 45 IQ crowd as anyone who has watched their Eyewitless News would attest. Jerry Greenberg (Terribly underpaid grad student)
