The Computer Chronicles is a 1/2 hour weekly interview/news show on PBS. It shows on Saturday mornings at 9 here in Boston. It comes out of San Mateo, and focuses on micros (a subject which is not close to my heart). Even though it does focus on the personal market, they do do some interesting features and have a news report with some current news. And they interview famous folks from the computer biz. Today they had Steve Wozniak, Adam Osborne, and Gene Amdahl. Next week, they're going to Japan to report on what's cooking there. It's nicer than reading the rags; there's not as much biased commercialism since it's on public tv. Actually, the show only runs 22 minutes, and there are cut marks for advertisements, so they could show it commercially. The other eight minutes is taken up by a software review, which would be chucked out on commercial tv. The review is a commercial, I suppose, but they justify it by saying that there's so much software around that they don't want to waste their time panning bad products on tv.
